"We're a small company that does big things."
Thank you so much for visiting our web site. We hope to convey our experience, expertise and mostly our passion for reusable bags. I have been in the "bag" business since 1999 and my primary focus is to introduce innovation in respect to a bag's construction and its features. If I were to describe Keep Cool Bags in brief I would say we're a small company that does big things.
The merits of reusable bags are undeniable but we believe that more and more can be done by researching and bringing to market bags made of different constructions and contents. Simply put, well conceived bags (construction, design, features) are shown to be used over and over again and thus work to support the end goal of the reusable bag movement—reducing consumption of non-reusable bags. We're a leader in developing future-forward options including bags made of 100% post-consumer waste from plastic bottles and bags made of 100% recycled cotton. Please check out our "Good to Know" section to learn more about our innovative spirit.
At Keep Cool Bags we honor and respect the manufacturing process and believe in utter transparency with our clients. I personally visit the factories we work with at minimum three times a year to ensure the highest level of working conditions and employee treatment. I am proud to report that our factories have passed every audit performed on the behest of our clients who wanted to ensure compliance with their corporate and social standards.
So many environmental claims are being made today that it's actually hard to sort out. At Keep Cool Bags we believe "environmental" isn't a term that should be used casually. Rather we approach environmental claims as an ethic. We make bags of truly sustainable fabrics and ensure traceability of the material from collection to transformation. The impact of our cutting edge technology on the environment is significant. Because our bags are made of truly sustainable fabrics, the production process does not involve using new petroleum-based fabric and thus serves to divert disposable waste from our landfills. We are in the unique position to provide our clients with certification from a highly respected third-party organization that details the production process.
Our clients are our lifeline and we act accordingly. We believe in a shared fate and work diligently to deliver the right bag, at the right time, at the right price. I find it challenging and rewarding to work with our larger clients with their diverse needs and I am equally inspired by working with our smaller clients to produce a bag that really makes a difference. Where we start is not where we end up—this is exciting and always results in the "right bag." As in any truly collaborative process, we roll up our sleeves to meet the project needs and remain agile as needs and externalities change.
We would love to hear from you and to be able to brainstorm with you about your needs. Too, please feel to reach out to me directly if you would like samples and/or pricing information for a project you have in mind.
It's hard to believe that we've worked with over 150 clients and produced over 40 million bags! I look forward to the future and the opportunity to work with you.
Sincerely,
Pierre Barlier
