Making a Bold Statement

We approached a leading grocery retailer with what was considered a bold idea—to leverage the newest technology to produce a reusable bag made of post-consumer waste. This retailer had been a leader in offering and promoting reusable bags but wanted to maintain its leadership in this category. We set about bringing to market and testing a bag made of 80% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles. The bag, the first of its kind in the U.S., was an unqualified success and reached unprecedented sales levels. Too, this new bag achieved significant media coverage. Subsequently, several designs of the bag have been issued over the last 2 years. We are pleased to work on an-going basis with this retailer, introducing most recently the innovative design of insulated messenger bags for its retail sales, as well as designing and producing recycled-cotton totes for its store openings, insulated lunch bags for one of its cause-related fundraising programs and custom-designed totes for its baked totes.
